LOLL Appoints New Presidents

Lake Oswego Little League is in a strong position as Opening Day 2024 approaches. More than 325 players will be on 40 teams, ranging from Tee Ball to the 12U American League this season. Kim Mangus and Shannon Roarke were elected Presidents of Lake Oswego Little League during the March board meeting.

Kim has served on the board for two years as the Player Agent. If you have ever signed up, moved leagues, needed a refund, or participated in postseason tournament play, Kim has had a hand. Kim loves sports, team competition, and has played basketball and softball. She looks forward to serving the baseball community and growing the game for many years. Kim’s son is seven and plays in the International League program.

Shannon joined the board as Secretary in 2023. She has coached her son’s teams starting with Tee Ball and was recently an assistant on a fall ball staff. Shannon grew up playing softball and now enjoys competitive tennis. Her son is 10 and plays in the American League, where her husband is a coach.

Kim and Shannon will work together and share responsibilities in the the role of President. They are both retaining their current jobs of Player Agent and Secretary, respectively.

Kelly Rogstad, the outgoing President, has left the league in a great position after many years of hard work and commitment. His tenure was marked by many accomplishments, including one of our league’s tournament teams appearing in the 2021 Little League World Series. Both Shannon and Kim will do what they can to continue developing all the players now participating in Lake Oswego Little League, while building community around the great game of baseball.
